Cruise quietly amongst the coastal islands, passages and wildlife
hotspots with seal pups, nesting eagles, comical oystercatchers and
purple seastar. Harbour porpoise and killer whales sometimes even choose
to watch us! The on-board ecologist narrates about the world class
waters off Sidney's scenic waterfront, including the waters surrounding
the remote islets of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. See http://www.parkscanada.gc.ca/gulf for more information about the Park Reserve, especially the Little Group islets and Dock Island.
Tides
and weather permitting, we visit a shell beach for some intertidal
exploration. Binoculars are provided for wildlife viewing.
