We are very excited about this joint venture with West Coast Rowing Adventures.  Our partnership will allow rowers and non-rowers to enjoy their favoured water excursion method and meet up on Portland Island for a fantastic lunch.

We'll depart from Tulista Park in beautiful Sidney by the Sea and meander to Portland Island.  The rowers will row led by former Olympian Julien Bahain and non-rowers will enjoy an ecocruise with us.  A wonderful lunch will be provided by Chef Guy at Princess Margarent Marine park on Portland Island (with vegetarian options) and everyone will have time to explore before heading back to Tulista Park.

To learn more about coastal rowing, please visit their website.  Some rowing experience is required.
Non-rowers need not worry - our vessel is like kayaking from a couch.  You'll be dry, comfortable and have lots of photo opportunities to capture both wildlife and those rowers!  We get you close to nature, but we don't chase it.

The day will begin at 10 am from Tulista Park, you'll have 1.5 hours for your tour over, lunch and exploring time on Portland Island and then a return at about 2:30 pm to arrive back to Tulista Park at approximately 3:15 pm

All booking reservations are being handled by West Coast Rowing Adventures.

Hello birdwatchers and bird enthusiasts,

In support of Cornell Lab's Global Big Day, we are offering a special tour on May 4th, 2019 - leaving Canoe Cove Marina - E dock at 9 am.  Seating is limited to 11 and we'll have Terry Venables on board to assist with bird ID and photography tips.

Some of Terry's photography work is currently at The Robert Bateman Centre for a show currently running Plumage: The Majestic Art of Birds

Your tour will be about 1.5 hours long and our skipper will be taking you to our best bird watching areas so we can try and expose you to as many species as possible.
$45/pp taxes included.

All tours are weather dependent, so we only take reservations.  We don't take your money unless we go! :)

We're really excited about this new offering this year for you.  We've got our largest vessel over at our Canoe Cove Marina location and because of that, we are able to offer a lovely little gourmet menu for you to take in all the lights of the little islands on an evening tour.  Of course, it's all weather dependent, but we are thrilled with the chance to offer you something very different for a gathering of your business staff or friends over the holiday season.
We've got a fabulous menu for you to choose from, either Gourmet Delights, or Small Bites portions and you are welcome to bring your own beverages on board.  We regret that we cannot offer food allergy alternatives.

Our first offering will be on Sunday December 2nd for the Sidney Sparkles Boat parade.  We will depart from Canoe Cove Marina at 5:15 pm, one sailing only, 10 passenger limit - $65/pp

Can't make the Sidney Sparkles Tour? There's the whole month of December to choose from.  Spread the word , get a group together and shoot us an email with your preferred date & menu selection!

Keep your feet dry and sail with us to the beautiful Gulf Islands and paint away.  We're hoping our artists will share photos with us of their work!

how's your big year count?

Have you ever heard of a "Big Year"?  If you're an avid bird watcher, likely you have.  The American Birder's Association have a specific set of rules and a list and on that list are a large number of birds that winter here in the Salish Sea.  While the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year, the birds seem to like that and more and more will be arriving over the next few weeks.
Keep us in mind for an outing with a small group for those beautiful calm winter days that we get in between storms.  We're flexible about meeting your needs for you or your group.  Give us a call or email info@ecocruising.com 250-655-5211.
